Take It Down Act Policy and Process
As outlined in our Terms of Service, posting any type of sexual content, including but not limited to content that includes, portrays, or suggests any type of sexual activity, sex act, or pornography, is strictly prohibited.
Under the Take It Down Act (TIDA), we are further required to remove all intimate (i.e., nude or sexually explicit) photos, videos, and other depictions, including any AI-generated images, alterations, or deepfakes, shared online without an individual's consent, within 48 hours of receiving a valid request from an identifiable individual.
This means that if someone has posted an intimate image, video, or other depiction of you to Truth Social without your consent—regardless of whether such content has been altered, modified, manipulated, or created by AI or other software—you have the right to report it and have it (and any copies we reasonably find) removed as soon as possible from our platform, but no later than within 48 hours of making the report.
To report content to us under the TIDA, contact us immediately at [email protected] with the following:
- Information sufficient for us to locate the intimate image or video, such as the username of the account where such intimate depiction is posted and the date the content appears;
- A brief statement that any such intimate visual depiction of you is non-consensual, including any relevant information that may help us determine that the depiction was published without your consent;
- Information sufficient for us to contact you, such as an email address or phone number; and
- Your physical or electronic signature.
You may also have an authorized representative contact us with the above information. Once submitted, your request will be assigned a tracking number so that we may communicate with you about the status of your request.
Even if not directly impacted under the TIDA, should you come across any intimate or sexual content on our platform that you believe violates our Terms of Service, we still want to hear from you. You can report any such content directly on the platform or by emailing us at [email protected] with the username of the account and the date that the potentially violative content was posted.
