Direct Message Quick Facts

• A direct message on Truth Social is a private 1-to-1 message between two users. 

• You can start a chat with anyone following you (assuming the user has not turned off the ability for others to direct message them in their preferences).

• Direct messages on Truth Social can contain up to 500 characters and do not currently support media attachments (media attachments will be added in the future).

• Each direct message on Truth Social is set to auto-delete after 14 days by default, but is customizable to your preference, up to a 90-day maximum.

• A user can start a chat with you if you are following them and you have not turned off the ability for others to direct message you.
