Direct Message Auto-Delete

Each direct message on Truth Social is set to auto-delete after 14 days. However, the auto-delete feature is customizable to your preference, up to a 90-day maximum. (7 days / 14 days / 30 days / 90 days). Customization is on a per-chat, per-message basis. The auto-delete clock starts from the time the message is sent. 

When you modify the auto-delete settings in a chat, the other user will see the change made. When the other user modifies the auto-delete settings in a chat, the change will be visible to you. If you or the other user in the chat do not customize the auto-delete settings, messages will be set, by default, to auto-delete after 14 days from when they were sent. The auto-delete settings apply to both users in the chat. 

You can customize your auto-delete settings by following these steps:

Step 1: While logged into your account, navigate to the bottom right of your Home Feed and click the Messages tab.

Step 2: Choose the chat for which you want to modify the auto-delete settings.

Step 3: Click the "i" icon in the top right corner to access Chat Details.

Step 4: Locate the section that says Auto-delete message.

Step 5: Choose your preferred period for auto-delete settings. (7 days / 14 days / 30 days / 90 days).

Note: New messages in that specific chat will auto-delete after the period selected from when the message was sent.
