Group Management

Understanding Group Types, Roles, and Permissions on Truth Social

Group Types

There are three types of groups, each offering different levels of access and privacy:

  • Public – Anyone can join instantly and participate in discussions.
  • Public (Approval Required) – Anyone can request to join, but an admin or moderator must approve the request before they can participate.
  • Private – Only approved members can view and interact with group content. Private groups do not appear in search or the Explore Feed and cannot be viewed by non-members. Truths posted in a private group will appear in its members’ home feeds but will not be shared with non-members.
